TQ Digital Receives Overseas Expansion Award at 2005 CGIAC
The 2005 China Game Industry Annual Conference (2005 CGIAC) commenced in the city of Xiamen, Fujian, China on Jan. 10th. At the conference, TQ Digital received “China-made Game Overseas Expansion Award” for the second time. At the 2004 CGIAC, the company was granted the award for the first time. The award was based on the Annual Report on China’s Game Industry and voting by the public.
As the first China-based game developer which expands into the overseas online game market, in 2005, the company signed a licensing agreement of Zero Online, a robot themed game, with Sing-Gium International while the game was still in its development stage. In the meantime, the number of concurrent users of the English version Conquer Online is on the increase steadily. Its excellent performance has received recognition from the industry peers. Furthermore, the traditional Chinese version Conquer Online launched in Taiwan attracted a large number of Chinese-speaking users not only from Taiwan, Hong Kong, but also from America, Malaysia, Singapore and other countries. TQ Digital officially launched “Global Point Card Online Payment” system, through which Chinese-speaking gamers can purchase Conquer Online point card easily, which is another breakthrough for TQ Digital’s expansion into the overseas market.
At the China-made Game Development Forum with the theme of “How to increase core competence”, Mr. Liu Dejian, Chairman of TQ Digital presented a speech, saying, “The content and quality are two of the most important factors for a successful game. The competition in Chinese gaming market is becoming much fiercer than before, but as long as we try, there is a chance. An excellent game depends largely on talents. That’s the strategy that TQ Digital has been pursuing. Talents guarantee the quality of a game. ” Mr. Wang Yangsheng from Chinese Academy of Sciences and Mr. Lei Jun, President of KingSoft are among other speechmakers at the forum.
