Nam Ju Kim
Chief Executive Officer
WEBZEN Inc.

As Chief Executive Officer of Webzen Inc., Nam Ju Kim has dedicated himself to making Webzen the leading global online entertainment creator. With more than 10 years of experience in the industry and a superior understanding of game development and the games business, Mr. Kim has been leading the company with clear vision and goals, steering Webzen to continued success over the years.

In 2001, he teamed up with Ki Yong Cho, currently the chief development officer at Webzen, and Kil Sup Song, currently the chief technology officer, on a new venture: Korea¡¯s first-ever 3D MMORPG MU Online. With MU¡¯s success, he became an overnight celebrity game developer. A year later in 2002, he was named CEO of Webzen Inc.

Before his involvement with Webzen, Mr. Kim served as a designer at One Engineering and Lead Designer at Mirinaesoft Co., where he managed overall game planning in the graphic division.

Mr. Kim holds a degree from Seoul High School of Art.

 

Ki-mok Park
Chief Strategy Officer
WEBZEN Inc.

As Chief Strategy Officer for Webzen Inc., Ki-mok Park leads and oversees the company¡¯s overall business strategy. Mr. Park plays a key role in content acquisition, new business initiatives, studio and game investment strategies and global planning.

Prior to joining Webzen in 2002, Park served as Head of Business Development for Lycos Korea. During his time at Lycos Korea, Mr. Park¡¯s management and leadership in establishing key business alliances led to the generation of new revenue streams and brand expansion.

Mr. Park also spent time at Daehong Communication as Manager of International Business. He drove integrated marketing communications for global companies such as Unilever, MasterCard, Sony and Prudential, and was also spent time in LG securities¡¯ int¡¯l dept. responsible for offshore asset management and global planning.

Mr. Park holds a master degree in Business Administration from University of Illinois(Urbana-Champaign) and a bachelor¡¯s degree in Communications from Chung-Ang University in Korea.

 

Tae Jung Yoon
Chief Human Resources Officer
WEBZEN Inc.

As Chief Human Resources Officer, Tae Jung Yoon oversees all aspects of human resources management at Webzen Inc. He joined Webzen in February 2004.

After working at Samsung Corporation, Mr. Yoon held vice president positions at both Freechal and Dreamchal.

In actively introducing progressive, effective human resources management system to Webzen, he has leveraged his considerable experience and knowledge at the Internet portal company Freechal, a pioneer in creating the Internet community model, and the casual game service provider Dreamchal.

Mr. Yoon holds a bachelor degree in Business Administration from Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea.

 

Dae Chun Park
Chief Marketing Officer
WEBZEN Inc.

As Chief Marketing Officer at Webzen Inc., Dae Chun Park is in charge of all marketing activities at the company. Mr. Park is currently leveraging his considerable experience in online and entertainment industries to create Webzen¡¯s unique brand of marketing and new trends in the industry.

Prior to coming on board Webzen in March 2005, Mr. Park was primarily responsible for new product launches in a diverse set of industries. He spent time at Neowiz Inc., a community and game portal; MTV Korea, an entertainment company; Lycos Korea, an Internet portal; Oricomn an ad agency; and Jinro-Coors Brewing Co.

He holds a Master of Science degree from E.W. Scripps School of Journalism, Ohio University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Korea University.

Won Seon Kim
Chief Financial Officer
WEBZEN Inc.

As Chief Financial Officer of Webzen Inc., Won Seon Kim leads and oversees all financial aspects for the company. One of his first earliest roles was taking charge of creating an organizational structure from the ground up. Currently, as Webzen moves toward global status as a top game publisher, Mr. Kim is focusing on improving and stabilizing the company¡¯s financial structure.

Mr. Kim held various positions during his 10 years at the Samsung Group, where he gained an overall, practical knowledge and experience in global management business administration. He has also served as CFO for Samsung Corporation¡¯s Moscow and Sydney offices. After spending time at NightStorm Media, an animation contents company, Mr. Kim joined Webzen in 2001.

Mr. Kim holds a bachelor degree in Business Administration from Seoul National University in Korea.

Cindy Armstong
Chief Executive Officer
WEBZEN America, Inc.

Cindy Armstrong is the chief executive officer for WEBZEN America, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of global online entertainment company WEBZEN, Inc. In this role, Ms. Armstrong overseas all strategy and execution of WEBZEN America¡¯s commitment to become one of the top online games publishers in North America.

As a seasoned video games industry executive, Ms. Armstrong brings to WEBZEN America nearly 20 years of experience in operations, business development and finance.

Before taking the helm of WEBZEN America, Ms. Armstrong was vice president of business development for Sony Online Entertainment (SOE), where she was responsible for expanding the publisher¡¯s business: launching into new Asian territories, developing licensing opportunities, scouting new products and exploring new business models. Before that, Ms. Armstrong was SOE¡¯s vice president of international operations, where she built and managed the team that launched SOE¡¯s suite of games in new European and Asian territories.

Prior to SOE, Ms. Armstrong was the chief financial officer for Retro Studios, an exclusive developer for Nintendo. One of the first members of Retro Studios, she helped launch the company and grew its operations from three to more than 100 employees.

Before that, Ms. Armstrong was director of sales analysis and planning for Nintendo of America. Reporting to the president, she was a critical member of the team that brought the Nintendo 64 video game console to market in the U.S.

Previously, Ms. Armstrong held management positions with Boss Game and Film Studios, NES International, Activision UK Ltd. and was a senior accountant/auditor with Arthur Anderson.

Ms. Armstrong holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Arizona State University.

Peter Matiss
Vice President of Marketing
WEBZEN America, Inc.

Peter Matiss is the Vice President of marketing for WEBZEN America, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of global online entertainment company WEBZEN, Inc. He is responsible for defining and marketing WEBZEN America¡¯s premier online and games services to the North American market.

Having spent more than a decade building global brands in the interactive entertainment industry and been involved in the launch of nearly 60 video games titles, Mr. Matiss brings with him extensive knowledge in the development and execution of AAA product launches on virtually all platforms and to a variety of target markets and demographics.

Prior to joining WEBZEN America, Mr. Matiss served as marketing director at ATARI for several of the company¡¯s core franchises. He directed all aspects of integrated marketing programs and played an integral role in building some of ATARI¡¯s key brands, with marquee franchises such as RollerCoaster Tycoon, Dungeons & Dragons and Sid Meier¡¯s Civilization to name a few.

Before ATARI, Mr. Matiss was marketing director for the premiere software developer, FASA Interactive, responsible for international brand management for the company¡¯s intellectual proprieties, including BattleTech, MechWarrior and Mech Commander. He was also in charge of product positioning and execution of all marketing support efforts.

Mr. Matiss began his career in the advertising and marketing fields, with several Canadian advertising and promotional campaigns in the video game and entertainment industries, including Nintendo¡¯s ¡°Play It Loud¡± campaign, Sony Computer Entertainment Canada, Sony Music, Columbia Tristar and Wizards of the Coast.

Mr. Matiss holds an Honors Bachelor degree in Business Administration from the Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario.
